Not Me Monday

Mckmama- Not Me Monday

This weekend we celebrated Zach's 2nd birthday. We really had a great weekend. On Friday night we went over to my Mom's and had a small birthday party. We ordered pizza, had cake and enjoyed each other's company. I had planned on it being a short night. I knew the kids would be tired from hanging at the sprinkler park with their Dad all day, also celebrating Zach's birthday. Well about the time I was planning on packing it in to head home, the neighbors came over with their little boy and we really had a party.

I did not drink wine for the first time in over 3 weeks, oh no, NOT ME! Not by the pool with friends and family! I did not come home and have the start of a headache, oh no, NOT ME! The kids did NOT finally get in bed a little after 9, that is just too late after a long day! Who would do that? Certainly not me.

On Sunday we, again, hung out at Mom's pool. I did not, again, do this mainly to wear out the kids and help them get out some of that energy, oh no, NOT ME! It was totally to have some fun as a family. I did NOT find myself oddly relaxed by all the craziness of the pool and kids running around. Nope, NOT ME! I can't help it, water just relaxes me, even if I am watching 3 kids at the same time and playing "ring around the rosie" in the pool for the eleventy thousand millionth time.

Sunday afternoon I absolutely, positively did NOT find myself watching "Keeping Up with the Kardashians". Oh NO! NOT ME! I would not spend endless hours watching this silly, mindless drivel. I have resisted up until...today. Dang it! What is it about watching these reality shows that sometimes just sucks you in?? Sigh, good thing I do not succumb to such mind wasting activities, especially when I have a really good book I am dying to read!

So what did you NOT DO this weekend? Anything exciting?

Sounds like a good time: pizza, cake, wine, & swimming:-) I'd be content for sure!

I did NOT have hot dogs, potato chips and beer for dinner both nights this weekend. Nope. Not me. That must have been my unhealthy slob of a twin. ;-)

I didn't drink way too much wine on Friday night and email a picture of my boobs to someone on Twitter.
