This past week was so much fun for me. I got to play the role of a single girl, with new friends in one of my favorite cities. As you know I was in Charlotte, NC for training. I did NOT have so much fun that I forgot to plan my soon to be 3 year old's birthday party. Oh no, not me! It was the 6 days of training that had my mind on overload. I did NOT settle in for the evening on my last night there only to receive a phone call from some of said new friends and head back out for some more fun, oh no! I was good and stayed in my room...at least I was in my room the amount of time it took me to get dressed and grab my beer!
I did NOT enjoy my training so much that I just can't wait to get out on the road. No, that would be overconfident, wouldn't it? I am quite excited about all I learned about OSHA regulations, financing, and safety products. I know I'm such a nerd that I can now quote OSHA regulation numbers...hey, if it translates into sales, call me a nerd all you want to, I'll be at the bank cashing my check. I have learned more about AED's (automated defibrillator devices) than I ever thought possible and am quite excited to share this knowledge and express to customers the importance of them in the workplace. Trust me, the one I sell? I could teach my 7 year old to use it! But more on that another time, if you insist! By the way, that is a picture of the unit I sell, very simple to follow, ever heard of a "See and Say"? Very similar idea. Step by Step, even helps ensure correct CPR!
I did NOT enjoy making my fellow trainees and managers laugh this week. Oh no, I'm NOT a comedian, but isn't it fun when you repeatedly make comments and people really think you are funny?? No, ok, just me then I guess. I learned I am truly a salesperson. It's in my blood. I love the thrill of standing in front of a group, making a presentation and then making a sale. It is such a high. I did NOT secretly enjoy my fellow trainees not wanting to follow after one of my presentations. No, that would just be smug, but, it was a little satisfying!
I certainly did NOT get emotional on my last day there. Oh no, that was just pure exhaustion that had me at the same time sad to leave and excited to get home. I have had that feeling very few times in my life. I enjoyed having an office to go to, coworkers to converse with, and friends to see. It was a great trip. It is also great to be home. At least until next month when I will be headed back for a night!
Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

So you liked Charlotte huh?
I'm glad you had a good time. I'm such a homebody, I would have been out of my mind on the drive up. LOL.
Doc-yes, I liked Charlotte very much. I think I will enjoy my monthly/quarterly trips up there very much. A nice perk of my new job, I do believe. Nice to be able to get away and have a change of scenery on a fairly regular basis.
ETW-the drive up was great. Just me and my music singing away in the van. I had a great time.
