After taking the week off last week I decided I will get back on the "Not Me Monday" bandwagon.
I am leaving to go out of town on business on Friday. I will be gone until the following Friday afternoon. I am NOT getting quite excited about this trip and all the quiet time that it will entail...oh no, not me! Don't get me wrong, I will miss my kids and my husband tremendously, but there is just something about staying in a hotel. I don't have to cook, make the bed, referee kids, or clean. I get to sleep alone, read, watch an uninterrupted movie, or just enjoy some peace and quiet. I know I will miss everyone and will be quite excited to get back home when the week is over, but I will just focus on the positives of the trip at this point (I also have two books ready to pack)!
Also since it is a business trip my husband and I planned to wash and clean out the van this weekend. We did NOT procrastinate on this project and instead sit around watching football all weekend. Nah, we wouldn't do that. My van is not every bit as dirty as it was a week ago, nope, it is worse. We decided it was too cold this weekend, anyway. After all, cold snaps only last a day or two in Charleston, right? Wrong. It is supposed to get colder every day this week and we may even get snow on Friday. When I will be driving to Charlotte, NC. This should be fun. I think I've driven in snow...maybe...one time. And it certainly was NOT in a big 'ol van!
